I thought I should be in charge since I am pretty against the male dominated world of movie critics. However; Micah felt that he should be in charge since he, of course, has a Masters degree in Film...So you get the best of both worlds: We're doing it together!
Today we saw: Away We Go
starring John Krasinski (from The Office) & Maya Rudolph (from Saturday Night Live)
Directed by Sam Mendes (Kate Winslet's Husband who also directed American Beauty, Revolutionary Road, & Road to Perdition)
What it's about: A mid-30's couple who is expecting their first child travel around the U.S. in order to find a perfect place to start their family. Along the way, they have misadventures and find fresh connections with an assortment of relatives and old friends who just might help them discover "home" on their own terms for the first time.

Our Take
Laughed so hard we cried and nearly cried so hard we laughed! Redefines what a 'family' is and where 'home' is. More independent and less Hollywood - Very clear theme (that anyone can relate to) that was stated in the beginning and never drifted - Are we good enough, what's the best home, best job, best life for our growing family? In the end, we do what's best by our families with what we've got.
